Dr. Amir Shavitzky, Partner
Born Ramat-Gan, Israel, 1976; admitted, 2003. Amir is married with two children.
Amir’s practice focuses on:
• Cross-border transactions.
• Mergers and acquisitions.
• Joint ventures.
• Private equity financing,
• General corporate law advice.
• Tax related counseling and litigation.
Amir concluded his doctorate studies at the University of Illinois Law School and prior to that completed his masters at the Columbia University Law School. Amir clerked for the Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Israel, Justice Eliezer Rivlin.
Amir’s recent experience includes, inter alia, the following:
• representing the Shlomo Ben Haim Group in a $125 million financing provided by institutional and private investors.
• representing one the world’s largest hedge funds in its activities and investments in Israel.
• representing Plimus in its acquisition by private equity firm Great Hill Partners for $115 million.
