Litigation and Insurance

A Distinguished Tradition in Litigation
S. Friedman & Co.’s litigation department represents both domestic and foreign institutions and individuals in an array of complex commercial, civil, regulatory, and insurance related litigation at all levels of the judiciary and before all forms of regulatory bodies in the State of Israel. Our decades of litigation experience enables us to provide our clients with time tested and sophisticated litigation tactics and strategies in a highly efficient and cost effective manner. We have expertise in complex tort and class action suits and the defense thereof. We liaise and cooperate with correspondents around the world in intricate cross-border disputes. Through the representation of some of the largest employers in Israel we have developed an expertise in collective bargaining and other forms of labor related disputes. We act as arbitrators and mediators and we represent our clients in alternative forms of dispute resolution, including negotiated settlements, mediations and arbitrations.

Anti-Trust and Restrictive Trade Practices Law
S. Friedman & Co. represents monopolies and oligopolies and is heavily involved in mergers and acquisitions requiring regulatory approval. We have developed vast expertise in anti-trust and restrictive trade practices law and the regulatory process in connection therewith in Israel and in the European Union. We have been involved in landmark antitrust litigation in Israel.

Insolvency and Work-Outs
Our litigation department works closely with our corporate and tax groups to provide comprehensive advice in insolvency related litigation, creditors’ rights, restructurings, workouts, creditor arrangements and recovery schemes. We represent banks and financial institutions in regard to creditors’ rights and frequently act as liquidators and trustees on their behalf.
