Born in Jerusalem, Israel; admitted to the Israeli bar, 1973. David is married with two children.
David has been with the firm for over 40 years. In 2018, he retired from the firm and now acts as an adviser on all matters of his expertise: maritime law and real estate development.
David is Israel’s leading and most experienced lawyer in maritime law including shipbuilding, vessel financing, vessel sale and purchase agreements and all matters of conference, corporate joint venture and consortia agreements. David has long-time experience in charter-party and charter-party disputes on behalf of vessel interests. David is one of Israel’s leading and most experienced litigators in all areas of maritime and shipping disputes. David has been a supporting member of the London maritime arbitrator’s association (LMAA) since 1997. David’s maritime practice includes both Israeli and foreign clients. David advises several ministries of the Israeli government on matters relating to maritime law, bilateral maritime treaties, matters relating to IMO and other maritime related subjects
With regards to real estate work, David has been involved in many of Israel’s largest real estate transactions in recent years, and has extensive experience representing both developers and major contractors in all aspects of the development process.
David acts as a visiting lecturer at Israeli universities and shipping conferences.
