We play an active role in the sector, highlighted by our participation in the drafting and amending key of legislation that have helped shape the higher education sector in recent decades, such as the Mandatory Tenders (Commitments of the institution of higher education) Law, 2010, and the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities Regulations, 2013.
The department holds a particular understanding of the unique regulations governing tenders in the higher education sector, and has successfully advised and when necessary acted on behalf of Tel Aviv University, Weizmann Institute of Science and Levinsky College of Education in all stages of their tender processes, and has managed domain auctions at Haifa University.
In addition, the department advises its higher education clients and other subsidiaries on issues regarding fundraising for domestic and international research projects, drafting work procedures, instruction on adherence to applicable regulations and assisting in structuring internal guidelines, as well as accompanying each institution in its contractual negotiations in both commercial academic, research, collaboration and consortium agreements, including tax law challenges, scholarship taxation, initiating start-up ventures and other strategic issues.
